The problem is in this kind of car that storm is it’s an illegal racing car especially nascar considering even modern day nascar is nowhere near as fancy as he is it’s like putting a race car vs a dirt bike

To me it was an allegory for how athletes from each generation improve on the accomplishments of their predecessors. It wasn’t that he couldn’t get an upgrade but all those new cars were young athletes who grew up watching him. And sometimes athletes of the next generation do better because they learned from the previous generation.
